Alaska Mountaineering School
Considered by many to be the best mountaineering school and mountain guide service in Alaska. Many of our guides work for AMS on Denali and in the Alaska Range prior to the summer season in Jackson Hole. If you are interested in experiencing some of the most amazing mountains on earth or climbing Denali, we highly recommend AMS. Visit the Alaska Mountaineering School website.

American Alpine Club
The American Alpine Club was founded in 1902 and is the leading national organization in the United States devoted to mountaineering, climbing, and the multitude of issues facing climbers. Visit the AAC website.

American Mountain Guides Association
Jackson Hole Mountain Guides is an AMGA accredited guide service. We support guide training and certification as a way for new guides to develop and enhance their guiding skills. We also facilitate AMGA access to mountain terrain important for AMGA programs. JHMG owner Rob Hess serves on the AMGA Board of Directors and owner Phil Powers was a former member of the board. Rob Hess serves as the Technical Director of the AMGA, a position that puts him in charge of the standards for AMGA courses, exams and Instructor Pool. Visit the AMGA website.

International Mountain Guides
Certain guide services in the United States stand out. IMG is the guide service that JHMG recommends for clients who are looking for international expeditions. Visit the International Mountain Guides website.

Leave No Trace
Our former and late President, Jim Ratz, was instrumental in the formation of LNT. JHMG is a partner with LNT, promoting LNT skills and ethics in all of our areas of operation. Several of our guides are LNT Masters and all are trained in LNT ethics. Visit the LNT website.

Lowe Alpine
Carrying climbing equipment into the mountains every day requires an excellent assortment of packs. Lowe Alpine has provided JHMG with such high quality packs since 2002. We use their packs for light and fast day climbs, Wind River Range backcountry climbing trips, Denali expeditions, and skiing. Clients can also rent the ideal Lowe Alpine pack from our office. This year, JHMG will assist Lowe Alpine with the development of alpine packs for climbing and skiing. Visit the Lowe Alpine website.

Mammut
JHMG operates many programs in very diverse areas, from desert splitters to frozen waterfalls to long alpine routes to light and fast ski mountaineering trips. It is hard to find a company that supplies the highest quality ropes for a variety of endeavors. Mammut is just that company. In the opinion of JHMG, Mammut rope quality, durability and selection is unsurpassed by any other company and therefore the exclusive supplier of ropes to JHMG. In addition, their apparel, such as the Paragon Jacket is very well made, comfortable, and stylish. Visit the Mammut website.

Metolius
Every day we trust our lives to our equipment. Metolius harnesses are an integral part of the safety system we depend on. They provide some of the most comfortable and safest harnesses in the industry. Since 1999, Metolius has sponsored JHMG for our harness needs. Visit the Metolius website.

Pagan Mountaineering
Pagan Mountaineering is THE retail store that hosts rock climbing and desert adventures in Canyon County. Located at the heart of downtown Moab in the McStiff’s Plaza, Pagan Mountaineering is the starting point for all your needs while climbing, hiking, and canyoneering in Southern Utah. Pagan’s stocked gear and clothing is as diverse and long as the multitude of adventures to do in the area. Carrying the most complete selection of cams, SLDs, TCU’s, outdoor gear, guidebooks and clothing, Pagan is your resource for information and equipment while in Moab. Pagan’s central location is also the meeting place for coffee, wireless, dinner and beer. Visit the Pagan Mountaineering website.

Patagonia
Jackson Hole Mountain Guides choose Patagonia clothing for their mountain endeavors. JHMG and Patagonia share similar philosophies and live by the statement "committed to the core". Inclement mountain weather and abusive terrain demand high quality clothing. Since 2001, JHMG has been a Pata-Guide partner, helping test their gear in the mountain and desert environments. In September 2005, JHMG hosted one of Patagonia's dealer camps, successfully climbing the Grand Teton in late season conditions. Visit the Patagonia website.

Sierra Designs
At Corbet High Camp on the Grand Teton, JHMG has been pitching and testing Sierra Designs tents since 2000. Our camp at 11,000ft provides plenty of UV exposure and high winds-an ideal testing grounds. Our clients enjoy the privacy of their own SD tents and bed down in SD sleeping bags while at our high camp. Sierra Designs produce bomber tents that withstand the rigors of our high camp and are light enough for us to use on our many weeklong expeditions into the Beartooths and Wind Rivers. Visit the Sierra Designs website.

Skinny Skis
Located around the corner from the Jackson Hole Mountain Guides office in downtown Jackson, this outdoor store is a key retailer for many of our clients. Skinny Skis partners with JHMG every winter in an effort to educate backcountry users in avalanche awareness. JHMG teaches nearly 100 skiers, snowboarders, and snowmobilers avalanche skills annually. Visit the Skinny Skis website.

Wild Iris Mountain Sports
Wild Iris Mountain Sports is located in Lander, Wyoming; a world famous limestone sport climbing mecca, home of climbing hero Todd Skinner and jump off to the big wall, backcountry experience of the Wind River Mountains. Wild Iris Mountain Sports prides itself in providing customers with the resources they need to adventure onto the rock or into the mountains. Every July, JHMG and Wild Iris participate in the International Climbers Festival which sponsors Kids on the Grand, a scholarship that enables a local high school student to summit the Grand.
