Cody, Wyoming, gateway to Yellowstone, offers excellent rock climbing and ice climbing opportunities. Rock climbs are located just minutes from town in the North Fork of the Shoshone River. Ice climbing is located in the Beartooth Mountains outside Red Lodge, Montana.
Just two hours north of Cody, the Beartooth Mountains offer stunning scenery, wilderness, fishing, climbing, and hiking. GUIDED ROCK CLIMBSHiring a guide, even for experienced climbers, makes good sense. Our guides get you on the route faster with fewer hassles, allowing you to do more climbing. And because we'll help you choose a climb suited to your level of experience and training, we can prevent you from getting in "over your head." We provide all technical rock climbing equipment including ropes, rack, helmets and harnesses. Climbing shoes may be rented at Core Mountain Sports. Prices are per person in groups of two or more unless noted otherwise.
Level 1 Rock Climbs - a relaxed and fun experience on easy to moderate single pitch climbs.- Full day: $325 (private); $200pp/2; $160pp/3.

HEART MOUNTAIN DAY HIKES This Cody landmark is a wonderful place to enjoy a day of hiking. It is one of the greatest geological mysteries of North America. Protected by The Nature Conservancy,
Heart Mountain Ranch also supports one of the greatest concentrations of rare plants ever discovered on private property in Wyoming. Many native mammals also are often seen here, particularly elk, mule deer and antelope. Jackson Hole Mountain Guides exclusively offers guided trips up Heart Mountain. This 7.2 mile, 6 hour round-trip hike takes you up 2560 feet to the top of Heart Mountain. From the summit, 360 degree views will leave you breathless. Parties are limited to 6 members and please call 24 hours in advance for a reservation.

Ice climb in the Custer National Forest, just south of Red Lodge, Montana. These climbs are open to all levels from beginner to expert. Please contact the Cody office for more information and current conditions.
