Red Rock -- Guided Climbing & Hiking
Welcome to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area! Less than an hour's drive from downtown Las Vegas, splendid multi-hued sandstone crags, beautiful canyons and lofty summits provide an ideal environment for your climbing experience. We are pleased to offer a full range of guiding services in the Red Rock, from easy and enjoyable half-day and one day climbs to the most challenging multi-day big wall ascents, and everything in between. We also offer day hikes, and special programs for families and children, camps and outing programs, large and small businesses and members of special units of the military. In addition to the climbs and hikes below, we have a full selection of Climbing Classes. If you don't see exactly what you need, call us; we are happy to help design a trip that works for you.
Guided Multi-Pitch Climbs
Have JHMG lead you on one of the hundreds of majestic climbs found in Red Rocks. Whether you have a specific route in mind, or are looking for a recommendation, our guides have the knowledge and expertise to make your climbing day a memorable experience.
Guided Climbs, Level IThis is a day of climbing, whether a series of short routes or a moderately long, four pitch, climb that can be completed in eight hours or less. Routes are chosen based on your ability and goals. Prior climbing experience or prerequisite classes is required.
Price: $300 private; $235pp/group. Two person maximum per guide.
Guided Climbs, Level II
Start early, climb high and end late! Routes climbed will be of a more challenging nature, typically over four pitches in length. Your guide will evaluate your experience and suggest routes appropriate to meet your goals. Prior climbing experience or prerequisite classes is required.
Price: $350 private; $275pp/group. Two person maximum per guide.

Guided Climbs, Level III
Grade IV+ and Grade V climbs. Routes on Mt. Wilson and the Rainbow Wall. Experienced climbers only. Please call our office for more information.

Family vacations – you know how difficult it is to please everyone, but Jackson Hole Mountain Guides has a solution. Spend the day, weekend or week soaking up the sunshine in the beautiful Red Rock Canyon on a rock climbing family adventure.
Our guides will coordinate the ideal rock climbing experience based on your family's ability level and prior training. Previous family clients have found rock climbing to be a great way to improve communication and create trust between members. Children as young as five have had great experiences in our basic climbing classes. Parents/guardians should accompany children up to the age of ten.

Rock climbing is a great challenge and confidence builder for individuals and groups. Perfect for scout programs, youth groups, women's clubs and senior groups, climbing is great cross training for other sports such as gymnastics and soccer. Jackson Hole Mountain Guides (JHMG) coordinates programs that are full of fun and adventure, teaching valuable communication, trust and decision-making skills while offering a great workout for people of all ages and ability levels.
We can model your program after one our Classes or Camps, with special consideration for your group's needs. With nearly forty years of experience in rock climbing instruction and guiding, JHMG has the expertise to design the ideal single or multi-day program for your group. Camp Cartwheel is a day camp for Nevada children with critical illnesses and life threatening diseases. Camp Director Paula Trujillo called JHMG with a goal in mind, "We wanted a program that would provide successful physical challenges and positive peer interaction while promoting a new learning experience." Was this accomplished? "Absolutely," Trujillo says, "each of the 80 children participating was able to find success…even if they had limitations."
Guided Hikes
JHMG offers guided day hikes to some of the most spectacular canyons and features of Red Rocks. Explore the rugged trails of canyons like Pine Creek or Oak Creek, and enjoy the shady grottos or sunny rocks. Please contact our Las Vegas office for prices and details.
Reservations
JHMG requests full payment (Visa, Master Card, Discover, personal check, money order) to book a date and schedule a guide. Payments are refundable up to 15 days prior to the date of your climb, minus a $50 processing fee. To schedule a climb on a weekend, or during our busy season, we encourage you to book one month in advance.
