2006-06-19 Guide Greg Collins has some spicy quotes in an AP news story about Mount McKinley in Alaska. Greg, who guides for Alaska Mountaineering School in the spring season, has just completed climbs on Mount Hunter (14,440’) as well as the West Rib route on Denali (20,320’). The West Rib team was socked with winds of 100mph at their high camp, not to mention nightly temperatures of -20 degrees F, and escaped with all fingers, toes, and tents intact!
