JHMG Charitable Donations
JHMG is pleased to give charitably to several good causes. This year, we donated a Teton climb to the 2008 Alpinist Film Festival and its SurfAid Silent Auction. The Film Festival, held in Teton Village, WY on January 17-20, featured nights of Snow, Surf and Stone movies.
Yvon Chouinard was on hand during Stone night to introduce the 1963 film, Sentinel: The West Face, featuring the Chouinard and Royal Robbins ascent of this spectacular line. The film is a true classic that was produced during the golden era of Yosemite climbing. It was written and narrated by Barry Corbet, the founder of Jackson Hole Mountain Guides.
The silent auction, pictured here, raised over $7,000 for SurfAid International, this year's non-profit organization selected as the recipient of the Alpinist Adventure Philanthropy Program.

JHMG has also donated classes to JH Snowboarder, and to the HERA Foundation, an ovarian cancer awareness and research fund that raises most of its money through a series of climbing events called “Climb 4 Life.” Read more about this year's HERA event in Denver.
