Rock Climbing Instruction: Red Rocks
Learn to climb in the Red Rocks! Jackson Hole Mountain Guides has nearly 40 years of experience, guiding and instructing clients in every discipline of rock climbing. Offering courses for the beginner to advanced climber, JHMG can design special programs for corporate groups or private clubs.

Las Vegas: it just may be a rock climber's utopia—the sky is a rich shade of blue, the air is dry and it's a sure bet that the sun is shining. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, located just 20 miles from the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, is a 197,000 acre playground for those who climb, hike or simply love the great outdoors.

Prices are per person in groups of two or more unless noted otherwise.
Introduction to Climbing
If you have never climbed or just want to brush up your basic skills, this class is for you. During this introduction to rock climbing you will learn basic climbing terminology and commands, knots, belay and rope skills, be introduced to protection and anchor systems and learn the fundamentals of climbing technique and movement. Once you experience life in the vertical world, you will be hooked!
Price: $150; $125 half-day.
Intermediate ClimbingBuilding on the skills taught in Basic Climbing, this course gives students the tools necessary to bring their climbing to the next level. Students will be introduced to and practice the climbing techniques needed to complete longer and more difficult routes, while refining their belay, rope and anchor building skills.
Price: $150.
Advanced Climbing
Designed for the experienced climber, this course will prepare students for lead and multi-pitch climbing while teaching techniques for “working” difficult routes, more advanced climbing movement and other advanced climbing skills.
Price: $175 (two student maximum).
Private Classes
One on one private instruction where your guide will design the course to meet your specific goals. Open to all ability levels.
Price: $250 – Full Day (8 hours); $175 – Half Day (4 – 5 hours)
Reservations
JHMG requests full payment (Visa, Master Card, Discover, personal check, money order) to book a date and schedule a guide. Payments are refundable up to 15 days prior to the date of your climb, minus a $50 processing fee. To schedule a class on a weekend, or during our busy season, we encourage you to book one month in advance.
